The Lancet Countdown: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change is an international research collaboration, dedicated to tracking the world's response to climate change, and the health benefits that emerge from this transition.

This first-ever event will direct attention toward the critical findings and recommendations in the Lancet Countdown: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change 2018 global report and the companion U.S. Brief, which will be released on November 28th at 6:30 PM EST. This year, the report’s highlights include a focus on extreme heat and its impact on labor productivity and the spread of disease.

Former EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy will give a special introduction, followed by a discussion of the findings of the 2018 global report and U.S. Policy Brief by the Lancet Countdown authors. Following the authors’ presentation of the reports, there will be a panel discussion with special guests and leading health experts.

At noon, when the morning program concludes, guests are invited to stay at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health to enjoy a networking lunch that will conclude at 1 pm.
